Extremely rare Meteorite found in Oregon

An extremely old and pristine meteorite was found on the side of the road in eastern Oregon, expert say it's 4.5 billion years old and expect it to be from the same era of the formation of the solar system. Don Wesson found the rock 11 years ago, and used it all this long to keep his dog digging up his garden, when he watched a TV show about meteorites, he brought the rock to and expert to examine.

"My eyeballs fell out, well it's a piece of the asteroid belt, a leftover of the formation of the solar system" said Dick Pugh at Cascadia Meteorite Laboratory, it's been 30 years now as the last meteors exactly like this found in this region, but its quite tiny compared to this huge 40LB one. Experts also estimates that this meteorite fell between 200 to 800 years ago.

Wesson has donated a couple of samples of this meteorites for further examination to help scientist to have a better look and understand the birth of the solar system. Meteorite dealers estimates the price for this rock to be ranged from $25,000 to $40,000.
